There are generally two distinct types of biogas plant: Agricultural and Industrial. The type of plant generally depends on the input material. In addition to reliable technology, it is also essential to have a process which has been developed to suit the raw materials - both of which are particular strengths of PlanET Biogastechnik, which offers plants with some of the highest availability rates and degrees of efficiency worldwide. In order to tap the potential of biogas in a cost-effective manner, PlanET continuously improves its plant technology and researches the complex biochemical interactions in the fermentation process.

PlanET Biogastechnik has already successfully built over 230 plants in Germany, the rest of Europe, North America and Asia. The voltage range of the already constructed biogas plants ranges from a few kilowatts to several megawatts.
